Yes, CDT is one of the most unique venues in Cairns and the only Medium sized theatre available. Hire of the venue comes complete with the use of all sound and lighting equipment but will require our technician to operate. We have two levels available and each with their own bar. The theatre is equipped with a fully functional kitchen for any catering needs and our chef can help design any menu, big or small.
Also available are two small VIP rooms for smaller cocktail parties, both equipped with a small satellite bar.

Yes, we are located 2 floors below ground level and have a lift that will take you directly to the theatre level. The front two dining sections of the theatre are wheelchair accessible, with the third level requiring a step up. If you are attending the show in a wheelchair please let us know so that we do not seat you in the upper section of the theatre.
Absolutely! If you have a dietary requirement or food allergy please let us know at the time of your booking. If your making your booking online please leave a note in the comment section so that our chefs can make the appropriate changes to your meal. Guests who do not inform us at least 48 hours prior to showtime may not be able to be accommodated.
The doors to the theatre will open 30 minutes prior to showtime unless otherwise stated on your tickets. We strongly recommend being at the theatre 15-30 minutes prior to show time to order any food or drinks you wish to have. Late arrival to the theatre may result in not being granted entrance with no refund.
The staff and cast have a schedule to keep so that food can be delivered in a timely manner and the show can start at the appropriate time.
Unfortunately we do not offer any credit towards the bar if a member of your party can no longer attend the show. We recommend trying to sell your ticket to another friend or family member.
Absolutely, if you have a group of 15 or more guests you’ll receive a 10% discount! Just give the box office a call to book your group and we’d be happy to offer the 10% discount!
We like to say business casual but you won’t be kicked out for wearing shorts. Our audience is always welcome to dress in the theme of the evening as well!
It is rare that we need to cancel a show but it does happen if our numbers are too low. You have the option to receive a full refund of the purchase price or to move your tickets to another date.
No, When you book your tickets we hold them for you and pull them from sale, because of this a refund will not be offered if you can no longer attend the event. If you call within 7 days of the event we can offer a credit towards another show but if there is a remaining credit after the exchange we do not offer a further credit or a credit towards the bar.
